I am a bottom shelf value
The large shampoo bottle
The roll of garbage bags.
There is no glitz packaging
That’d be nothing but trouble
Simple, just read my tag.
The Lord hid me down here
Knowing someone would look
To grab value that lasts
So just a polite word to all.
True love has no source book
Bend down, look, it goes fast.

Dave, love your poetry and your songwriting. My poetry has always been more inspired by songwriters than poets, although I DO love W.H. Auden and T.S. Elliott. I admire those with musical talent, since I have absolutely none. I look forward to reading, and hearing, more from you.
