Guy Clark is one of those artists I keep coming back to... a great story song writer; nothing fancy about his voice either. When this video came up in my YouTube video feed, I clicked on it figuring it was one of those dumb fan videos that just put on photo up and steal the song in YouTube. I was wrong, and enjoyed the work done with pictures and words.
Then of course I figured I could find an interesting thing out there about the site... found this blog post that is very well written. http://www.thindifference.com/2012/03/29/always-trust-your-cape/ hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Fellow music blogger
This blog "songs:Illinois" came up in my reader and I forgot all about it.... as they say:
Songs:Illinois is committed to writing about music that is under-appreciated and unique. I've found that the music I write about shares a couple of traits. And they are: lyrical integrity, musically diverse, and written/performed by compelling characters.

Introducing Olivia Collins
Let me introduce you to a 21-year-old music graduate from Cardiff University. She studied classical singing, but love singing contemporary music as well. She is currently working in retail and trying to find a vaguely music related career; and has a lot to say about music so she's starting a blog: http://www.themusicalacidtest.blogspot.com/ Go ahead follow her, you know you want to.
I think she has good tastes, I've seen her Facebook picture include Bob Dylan.. .HA.

Christine Kane- Slow down to Speed Up
Sometimes life, God, the spirits or whatever you believe does really grabs a hold of you and tells you to slow down. HA... mine is today as I have my first backache in about two years. So I was sitting on my doofus and bouncing around these internet sites, and yes I am a member of Facebook. I'm trying to keep it to people I know face to face, but a few internet friends have snuck in. And today I stopped by Christine.Christine Kane. is a wonderful singer / songwriter located in Asheville, NC; but she also makes a business out of mentoring women. I laugh all the time because I must be the only guy on her blog. Don't worry I don't feel uneasy, Christine's words are really upbeat and universal. Like this one before a tele-seminar that she put on:
Christine is one of THE best marketing musician, internet saavy, and just overall gets it that I've run into. To a point when she released her most recent cd.
I prepaid my $10 for a on-line download from her website when it was available because I don't remember why. She had me with something free I bet... HA. Anyway... everything worked smoothly and I even got a pdf of the cd liner note... Kudos on that I love liner notes I can blow up and read with my old eyes. Christine does have a "Team" that works with her, but how & if they are paid I don't know. One of them reminded me that I was going to be on cd of her friend's music that she's sharing with her friends. I think this is where my bad habit of reading every other line got me into trouble. I thought I was getting a free cd and now I'm contributing to a free cd she sharing. Well I was flattered and keeping with the woman emphasis I sent her Flowers of the Forest sung by Nichola Maria O'Donnell. If they needed to fill out the cd, I also sent them Hey Mr. Tangerine Man. Who knows maybe Christine and I will meet someday... (I did miss my opportunity at the Great River Folk Fest but that's where I heard her first.)... and maybe She'll ask me to speak on how not to write a blog. HA. (off of her new cd my most favorite song is "How not to behave")
This is her most watched video....

Helen Hunt & Mixed Tapes?

So why does the beautiful Helen Hunt show up in the Zemmy Show Blog? and who uses cassette
tapes yet?Well one of my favorite blogs, When you Wake has this great section where they show off some really cool covers, like Dylan gone Twang. It reminded me of one of my favorite movies where Jack Nicholson makes a whole bunch of mixed tapes to attract Helen Hunt during a road trip in As Good as it Gets. What a fantastic movie, and yes for all you dedicated readers, I've been in love with Helen Hunt for a long time.
Ha!

Wildy's World
In a constant search for good music blogs, I found a great review site. Their pledge: If you are interested in having your album reviewed on Wildy's World, or if you're interested in advertising your next release on this page, please contact us at wildysworld@gmail.com. Reviews are free and advertising rates are dirt cheap! I just might have to send them a Zeman CD. You will note that they are now in the Shout Out link section on the right, with a bunch of good other sites to explore.

Another vote for Allison
Here's a blog I ran into....
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 2, 2008 http://www.themusicmeow.com/2008/11/allison-sattinger.html
Allison Sattinger
For the past several months, I have been listening to singer songwriter Allison Sattinger. I first found her among Terra Naomi's top MySpace friends. I figured if she was liked by one of my favorite YouTube-turned-major-label artists, I would probably like her as well. After listening to all the songs on her MySpace playlist and watching nearly every video on her YouTube account, I realized that "like" was the wrong word—I absolutely adore this woman's music.
Allison's lyrics are heartfelt and her music is piano pop with a Gospel edge. She writes about life, love, and love lost. No matter what she's singing, whether an original or cover, you always believe everything that passes her lips. Recently she did a cover of Billy Joel's "For the Longest Time" that had me in tears. Reading the comments posted beneath the YouTube video, I found I was not the only one touched by her rendition of the song.
Now if you are not familiar with Terra who is Allison's close friend in LA... here's one of my favorite songs of her's... and you haven't watched it... get going... this video has had 3,000,000+ views... where have you been... HA..
