Free Music from the Fest

Well maybe it's free for your email that we will share with the great artists that shared their music with us in hope that you will both tip us and become so impressed with their music you come to the fest.

I put it in Noisetrade.com and I have before praised the merits of this site... what a great way to discover new artists... SHEL for me was discovered in Noisetrade.

Our mix this year includes Tim O'Brien, David Wilcox, Sally Rogers, Pierce Pettis, The Barefoot Movement, Colin O'Brien, Grace Pettis, Claudia Schmidt, Patchouli, and Evergreen Grass Band... only Grace & Claudia had music in Noisetrade before we put this mix up. (Claudia was in our 2013 mix)

Here's the link

The picture just shows the top six songs... here's a player and a quick link for all 16 songs...

Daily song : Saturday They'll all be back

Well I can't break my daily song until next at least by next Tuesday HA... Saturday has been in many of a song, but one of my all time favorites is an old song by David Wilcox. Boy I can remember buying this cd. I was just prowling the music shop in a mall, looking for something that would catch me. David's "How did you find me here?" just spoke to me from the artwork and (get this) the label. A&M I believe was the label and I trusted it... and the artwork. "Acoustic"

When I unwrapped it and got woven into incredible stories, "Eye of a Hurricane", "Rusty Old American Dream", "Language of the Heart", this Saturday song. Top it off I just love when an artist uses an old melody to new lyrics like David did in "Jamie's Secret". Maybe the internet and downloading has tarnished this huntiing of CDs and discovering the whole cd compiled by the artist. That cat is out of the box, and I won't be writting about all the duds I bought on a whim either.

Enjoy the video I found but really if you never heard of David, look him up.

David Wilcox on mysteries

I know that you go to concerts to hear music, but good entertainers and good story tellers. Here is David Wilcox relating to learning and thinking about the mysteries of life. This is by the way from Eric Folkerth a folk musician post in Facebook... also a pretty good guy 'cept he's a Cowboy fan.
