Norah Rendell at the Bluff View House Concert series

Another reason I missed a few weeks of blog posts, is that I run this little house concert series four times a year in Western Wisconsin, and I like to usually try to book one in February.  Yes the weather can drive you nuts in winter, but we had a wonderful weekend to host Norah Rendell and Brian Miller.

It was actually their third time back, so in the words of Mary Mack, "Dave must not be a mass murderer because it's a series!"  (She wasn't sure she understood if a house concert was a normal thing when she first came, and she's been back once too!)

Here's a video from one of my favorite songs that Norah covers, "Follow the Heron Home", and yes that was Henry squawking in the background.

Read more about it at it's one blog http://bluffviewconcerts.blogspot.com/ or go like it at https://www.facebook.com/BluffView

Brian Miller and Randy Gosa MN Irish Lumberjack song

Not to be stuck in one music genre, let's spend four minutes going back the northern woods in Minnesota, and listen to a Lumberjack song that Brian Miller collected, with Randy Gosa playing an absolutely wonderful mandolin piece.  Here is a website with more information.  http://www.evergreentrad.com/

I love Canada Broadcasting... here they have posted a great concert of Norah Rendell & Brian Miller... and now I'm disappointed that didn't play Whiskey Evening... what a wonderful song.

Norah Rendell and Brian Miller: Saltspring House Party

It's an evening of intimate Irish music on BC's idyllic Saltspring Island.

Yes Norah Rendell is almost here

I feel pretty lucky that Norah will be here and then poof in Europe for three weeks. Her flute playing is flawless, and her singing is what got her booked. We've have a good share of calls so I'm not worried that there will be a disappointed artist. Still room... Sunday March 8th 4-6 Pot Luck after.... hey Clay... I got the second posting right this time... HA
